01

Our role in your purchase

Supplier finding and purchase negotiation start with the requirement you bring. These answers explain the confirmed business model and the information that gives the conversation direction.

02

Preparing your enquiry

Separate the essential product characteristics from preferences, and distinguish the current quantity from possible repeat purchases. If you already have an offer, include the basis on which it was made and the points you want to discuss.

Useful to know

Before the conversation.

What does ACOLYTE help buyers do?

ACOLYTE is a multi-category sourcing agent and buying house. We find suppliers and negotiate proposed purchases on behalf of retail and trade buyers. Start with the goods you need, their intended use and the decision you want to make.

Do you sell from an owned stock catalogue?

Our business is built around sourcing and negotiation, with commission or margin as the earning model. The examples on this website illustrate buying decisions; they are not a catalogue of stock available to order.

Can I enquire about several products?

Yes. Set out the products as separate lines and explain whether they belong to one purchase or separate requirements. Include quantities for each line, so a total does not hide the intended mix.

What should my first enquiry include?

A short description of the goods, approximate quantity and intended use is a useful start. Add the specification or reference you are working from, relevant timing and whether you want supplier finding or help negotiating an existing proposal.

Can I bring an existing supplier offer?

An existing offer can provide the starting point for a negotiation enquiry. Explain which terms matter most, which requirements are fixed and what you would like to discuss. Identify the quantity and specification to which the offer relates.

How are commercial arrangements agreed?

Commission or margin is the confirmed earning model. The relevant scope, remuneration and responsibilities belong in the arrangement for the particular requirement. Discuss those points alongside the proposed goods and purchase terms.

How do I contact ACOLYTE?

Email [email protected] with an outline of your requirement. The website enquiry composer helps organise a draft for your own email application. Preparing or copying a draft does not send a message.
